Book a tour around Skálholt!

​

The guided tour takes you around Skálholt Cathedral, where you learn about the main characters in the saga of Skálholt, view the artwork and artifacts from 16th century. You will visit the crypt, that holds an 800 year old stone coffin and an underground tunnel. The archaeology site shows the layout of the houses in the medieval village. The tour ends in the little turf church of St Thorlak.

The tour takes around 30 minutes and will give you an insight into Skálholt significant history. Book a guided tour by sending an email to: skalholt@skalholt.is

 

Price:

2- 5 persons – 3500 ISK per person

(25 USD - 24 EUR pr pers)

6 - 9 persons – 2500 ISK per person

(21 USD - 20 EUR pr pers)

10 + persons  -  1500 ISK per person

(11 USD - 10 EUR per pers)

Summer season:

Fixed tours in English every weekday at 10am and 2pm. Other time upon request.
